Victory show is one of the biggest events on the Second World War 2 in the UK. Here we decided to show up as
1st Independent Parachute Brigade during Operation "Market Garden" and as much as 69 years ago, everything was against us.From the early hours of the morning on September 5 it was raining, which made it impossible for us to arrive in greater numbers "Polish paratroopers.On the evening of the day we got there, it turned out that the "landing" is dominated by "enemy forces" in the form of re-enactors in German uniforms. After the attack and the distribution of tents in the dark,we have won this round.The next morning we finally found out the aim of our "operation". So we went to the appointed positions, there were forced to dig in and take defensive action. Our section Bren took a position and maintained it to the end of "combat operations" on 8 September at 5 PM. Our modest activities were noticed and appreciated by other groups reconstruction, visitors and the local media.
I would like to thank everyone who showed us the friendship and support, especially our friends from the British paratroops.
